Screw Coating Selection

we provide laser coating for wear and corrosion protection on screw flight to increase variety of plastic materials in injection applications and the use of abrasive corrosive additives to improve life of screws. the screws are turned into bimetallic structure by hard facing the tops of the flights. in order to minimize the rate of abrasive and corrosive wear, the flights of the new and repaired screws are coated with fe, ni, co based metal alloys.

The screws that are usually made of alloy steel are turned in to bimetallic form on our cnc controlled laser coating machine by applying special powder metals alloy with high abrasion and corrosion resistance.

The advantages of laser coating, include the deliver of a higher quality coating material (inc. high bond strength & integrity) with very little distortion and dilution, as well as enhanced surface quality. these advantages include: ability to place tailored performance enhancing material exactly where required.
